The Network Support division of Age UK are currently recruiting for a proactive self-starter to join their friendly and supportive team as a Project Support Officer.
The successful applicant of this exciting opportunity will join the established Network Quality & Compliance Team, which works to deliver exceptional support and quality assessment processes to our network of 124 independent local Age UKs and 8 national partner organisations in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, to agreed milestones and targets.
As Project Support Officer, you’ll be highly organised, able to confidently multi-task, with excellent customer service and solid communication skills.
In this role you’ll carry out a range of duties to assist the Team in the organisation of quality assessments and reports, managing the processes for awarding certification for achieving our quality standards; as well as working with local Age UK’s and national partners to take corrective action when required.
This is a home-based opportunity, with the occasional requirement of travel which may involve overnight stays.
We will be actively interviewing throughout the advertising period; early application is highly recommended.
Must haves:
- Project management skills, including the ability to work flexibly and autonomously, managing individual projects to meet organisational objectives and achieve deadlines.
- Experience of data entry to a high level of accuracy and ability to present that data as reports, including preparation of tables and graphs.
- Excellent organisational skills with experience of organising meetings and other events.
- Confident in dealing with people from different levels and backgrounds.
- Ability to assess risk and escalate issues according to agreed processes and procedures.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners in order to meet objectives.
- Experience of organising meetings and planning and delivering projects to agreed quality standards.
- Ability to prioritise competing deadlines and workloads.
- Excellent IT skills including advanced Excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to report on progress in writing and verbally.
- Proven ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
