We are looking for an experienced Team Leader who shall work closely with the Warehouse Manager to lead a team of Warehouse Operatives to fulfil daily production plans and warehouse tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Work alongside Warehouse Manager and the team in ensuring the factory meets its production plan deadlines
- Plan and maintain stock required for the production plans.
- Work closely with the Stock Administrator in ensuring all paperwork (GRN, PO’s) records are accurately recorded, both in hard copies and electronically all Products have a GRN for traceability
- Deputise for the Warehouse Manager as and when required and during holidays and other absences.
- Responsible for training other staff and new starters in your area of work
- Responsible for Preparing and having the correct stock on site(s) for the production team.
- Work within quality targets ensuring waste reduction is always kept to a minimum and improved consistency of product safety and quality and adherence to food safety culture.
- Adhere to company policies relating to Health and Safety when reporting accidents or near miss incidents and have a general awareness for H&S in the workplace.
- Work closely with other shifts to ensure effective and smooth handover at all times
- Create a positive work environment and encourage the team to commit to high standards of performance
- Oversee administrative duties and ensuring you have an attention to detail
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and housekeeping at all times.
- To support colleagues in reaching the BRC Audit standards
Key Requirements
- Experience of working in a food warehouse environment
- Previous experience in managing people
- Reliable and proactive in resolving issues
- Diligent, trustworthy and ability to work under pressure
- Computer literate
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
- Counter balance forklift driving experience and Mini Bendi licence (preferable)
- Comfortable in working in a cold environment
