We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and experienced Kitchen Porter / Assitant to support the running our busy kitchen at Little Jungle – School of Early Childhood Education. You will be working alongside a passionate Head Chef to support the preparation of exciting, seasonal and always fresh meals for up to 120 children (aged 1 to 5) and staff (Monday to Friday day-time) along with ensuring that all aspects of cleaning, and running the kitchen are managed.

Key responsibilities:
- Maintain high hygiene standards in the kitchen, including regular high and low level cleaning of surfaces and equipment.
- Serving food, and ensuring all kitchen surfaces and cooking / serving utensils are cleaned after every service.
- Support the provision of healthy balanced, nutritious freshly prepared meals in line with food safety regulations.
- Support the development of rotating seasonal recipes.
- Support the management of all dietary requirements and allergies.
- Support the maintenance of stock levels and ordering new supplies.
- Occasionally working with the children or conducting cooking workshops (during normal working hours

Who you are: Experienced Kitchen Porter working in a busy kitchen. Excellent understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
- Have a Food Safety / Hygiene Level 2.
