An opportunity arises to take up the role of Head Groundsperson and continue our excellent tradition of maintaining the Chester Road ground to a very high standard.
Kidderminster Cricket Club has staged over 70 First Class Cricket matches, a number of List A County matches and many 2nd XI and Academy games for Worcestershire CCC. The ground is on emergency standby should their New Road ground be unavailable due to flooding. We also host a number of other prestigious fixtures annually. These have included England Women’s internationals, International Disabled Cricket tournaments, England v Australia over 70’s ODI, County age group matches from Under 15 to Over 60 and numerous local finals and tournaments. Kidderminster Cricket Club is a thriving club which runs 4 adult teams, Junior cricket for all age groups and a developing Women’s and Girls section. They make extensive use of the facilities which include two playing squares and an impressive 4 lane net practice area. KCC 1st XI plays in the Birmingham and District Premier League and the League have recognised the quality of the ground with several awards in recent years. Three further teams play in the Worcestershire County League who have also made similar awards.
During the winter, parts of the outfield are used for junior football (up to 11 years old) and again the pitches are recognised by the FA as the best in the region.
This position is mostly outside. Groundstaff restroom with private shower and toilet facilities are provided.
Salary: Negotiable according to experience. Start Date: Negotiable, but as soon as possible.
