Salary: £25,110 - £28,890 PA (Pro Rata) free travel on TfL services plus benefits

Contract Type: Part Time (3 Days a week) Fixed Term Contract – 12 Months (Possible permanency at the end of contract)

Overview of project/role
To assist the Warehouse Logistics Manager (WLM) in the delivery of effective warehouse and logistic support for all trading activities at London Transport Museum.
This includes assisting with the organisation and control of stock at LTM's Acton Depot for delivery to LTM's Covent Garden Shop, Acton Shop, On-line fulfillment centre in York and additional off site trading events ensuring Health & Safety standards are met.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the WLM in the effective day to day management and control of all stock held at LTM's Acton depot and the implementation of new processes as determined by the WLM to improve stock efficiencies.
- Assist with the effective handling of goods in, retail storage and delivery of stock between branches as required by the needs of the business.
- To ensure stock is received accurately and in good condition from external suppliers reporting any issues to the retail Merchandising team.
- To ensure deliveries are made to internal and external customers according to the schedules required, ensuring all stock is packaged and labelled correctly.
- To carrying out accurate inventories and stock checks as requested by the Trading Team on a rolling stock-take basis, as well as assisting with the completion of year end stock-take programme.
- Completion of paperwork and EPOS system updates daily to ensure accurate and effective stock control.
- Support the operation of off-site events when required by the Special Projects & Off-Site sales Manager.
- Support in the logistics, operations and dispatch of special projects such as Decommissioned Originals when required.
- Help with the set up of regular photographic shoots for the web shop at the Acton depot.
- Deputise for the WLM when required
- Adhere to all necessary Health & Safety requirements
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Knowledge
- Knowledge of stock control and management.
- Knowledge and demonstrable experience of operating in a warehouse environment (essential).
- Organized, methodical with good attention to detail.
- Team worker with the ability to both establish good working relationships and to support and co-operate with others.
- Computer literate with competency in Microsoft Excel
Skills
- H&S awareness and safe working (essential).
- Level 2 in numeracy (essential).
- Clean Driving License (essential).
- Valid Counter Balance and Reach Forklift License (essential).
- Ability to drive a 3.5 tonne vehicle (essential).
- Ability to drive a 3.5 tonne vehicle (essential)

Fixed term contract for 12 months
As a fixed term contractor we can offer you a choice of pension arrangements. If you choose not to take our final salary pension scheme you will be paid an allowance on top of your salary, subject to Tax and National Insurance. We will share all the details with you at offer stage and the choice will be yours based on your circumstances. Depending on what you choose you can add up-to 14% to your salary.
